Community guidelines.
Ten rules that keep snipes a place worth opening, and what we do when they’re broken. snipes has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
Effective August 2, 2026 · v1.0
01The rules
- You must be 18 or older to broadcast.
- Self-declared at signup. Lying gets your device banned, not just your account.
- No minors in your stream.
- No one under 18 visible as a subject — in frame, in the background, anywhere. Violations are reported to authorities.
- No nudity or sexual content.
- No nudity, sexual acts, or sexualized framing of any person. No exceptions for “art” or consent.
- No weapons.
- No firearms, knives, or anything brandished as a threat. No firing, no showing off, no “it’s not loaded.”
- No drugs.
- No use, sale, or display of illegal substances. Alcohol is fine if you’re of age and not driving.
- No violence or threats.
- No fights, no staging, no threats against any person or group. Self-defense footage is not an exception — end the stream and call the police.
- No filming people who haven’t agreed to be filmed.
- If a person hasn’t said yes, don’t point the camera at them. Bathrooms, change rooms, and residences are never okay.
- No harassment.
- Not in comments. Not by pointing the camera. Targeted abuse gets a device ban.
- No self-harm content.
- If you’re struggling, reach out — 988 in the US, talksuicide.ca in Canada. Don’t broadcast it.
- Nothing else that’s illegal.
- If it would get you arrested off-camera, it gets you banned on-camera. The law isn’t suspended because you’re streaming.
02How we enforce it
- Every active stream is filtered in real time.
- Automated content-safety models sample every live broadcast. Anything flagged routes to a human moderator immediately.
- We act on every report within 24 hours.
- A 24/7 on-call moderation team reviews reports, removes offending content, and ejects offending users.
- You can block any user, any time.
- Blocked users can’t comment on your streams, appear in yours, or be shown to you anywhere in the app.
- Reporting is one tap from anywhere.
- Tap ··· on any stream, or long-press any comment. Reports involving minors or filmed-without-consent get priority routing.
- Bans are tied to your device, not your handle.
- Serious violations are a permanent ban on the first incident. Making a new account doesn’t get you back in.
03Reporting outside the app
If you can’t report from inside the app — or you’re not a user — email jay@snipes.world with a link or description of the content. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours.
